Toyota HiLux
The Toyota HiLux had a strong start to the year, with 3860 units sold in January alone, Drive.com reports. It continues to be at the top of the most sold list each month in 2018. It’s no wonder, however, as owners of this ute enjoy superior assistive technology such as vehicle stability control. It also drives with a quietness not often found in other heavy-duty vehicles.
Ford Ranger
The Ford Ranger comes close on the heels of the HiLux in 2018. It’s comfortable, spacious and practical. The Ford Ranger also comes in a variety of configurations, which makes it an excellent choice of vehicle for either work or private use.
Toyota Corolla
Arguably one of Australia’s most popular passenger cars, the Toyota Corolla is a trusty steed that has stood the tests of time. Mitsubishi Triton
The Mitsubishi Triton has been a rising star in recent years. While it hasn’t quite unseated the HiLux or Ranger, it’s still a reliable, sturdy ute. Electronic stability control and trailer sway control are also features that put the Triton a notch above other light commercial vehicles regarding safety.
